"Beautiful Smiles Through Periodontics & Dental Implants"

Your smile is our first priority, and we shall give you something to smile about!

Whether your periodontal and dental implants needs are simple or complex, we can easily handle them and get the best possible results for you with the help of your referring Doctor.

A complete and thorough medical history and a complete periodontal implant examination will allow us to diagnose your current condition.  A prognosis of your teeth will allow us to determine the longevity of your teeth and the projected outcome of your case.  This will then allow us to create the most ideal treatment plan for you.  We shall discuss your ideal treatment plan with you and your spouse.   We want you to have a complete and thorough understanding of what you can expect of us and what we shall expect from you to create a successful case and beautiful smile.

We shall provide a Treatment Plan Consultation for you and discuss your needed therapy.  Then we shall create a Financial Arrangement that will meet your needs.  We shall only begin therapy if you have the desire to maintain your natural teeth and dental implants.   A signed consent and financial arrangement that is to your satisfaction will be provided for you.

If at any time you have any questions, concerns, or would like to schedule an appointment, please Contact us today. Phone Fresno office: (559) 229-6557.   We look forward to providing you with the personal care you deserve.  Please feel free to discuss this with any of our Periodontal Team Members.

 Periodontology

The term "Periodontology" refers to the dental specialty that pertains to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of Periodontal Disease (PD) that affects the gums and underlying jawbone.   The gum tissues surround the teeth, and the underlying jawbone anchors teeth firmly in place.  Drs. Dee Nishimine, & Sophia Tseng have all completed specialty residencies in Periodontics and dental implants.  Periodontists have completed several years of extra dental training and are concerned with maintaining the function, health, and aesthetics of your smile.  Today's Standard of Care for replacement of missing teeth should be with dental implants.

Reasons for periodontal implant treatment

Today, the "Standard of Care" is that all patients should have a complete periodontal examination or periodontal probing to determine if periodontitis is present.  We want you to maintain your natural teeth as long as possible and have the missing teeth replaced with dental implants, if desired.  This will give you better chewing function, phonetics, and aesthetics.

Periodontal Disease (PD) is a progressive condition which begins with mild gum inflammation called GINGIVITIS.   BACTERIAL PLAQUE is the major causative factor of Periodontal Disease (PD).  It is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults, and should be taken very seriously.  Periodontal Disease (PD often called gum disease) is typically signified by red, swollen, painful, or bleeding gums, and, in some cases, there are no noticeable symptoms.

Periodontal Disease (PD) is progressive. It is essential to remove the bacterial plaque and calculus to halt the spread of the infection.  Your removal of bacterial plaque daily will help you save and maintain your natural teeth and dental implants.  "Brush and Floss Daily."
